1. Product Overview

Compared with standard tile roof hooks, this hook features an extended offset arm designed to pass beneath curved roof tiles while providing sufficient clearance between the roof structure and the solar mounting rail.

The base plate is securely fixed to the roof rafter or timber supporting structure using suitable wood screws or lag screws. The formed hook arm extends around the curved tile profile, while the elongated upper slot provides a connection point for the aluminum solar mounting rail and allows convenient rail positioning during installation.

The standard version is manufactured from SUS304 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and long-term outdoor durability. SUS316 stainless steel and hot-dip galvanized Q235 / Q235B carbon steel versions can also be supplied according to project requirements.

This roof hook is suitable for residential and commercial photovoltaic projects using Mediterranean-style, Spanish, Roman, clay, and other compatible curved tile roofing systems.

6.Product Function

The Spanish & Roman Tile Solar Roof Hook provides a structural connection between the roof rafter and the aluminum photovoltaic mounting rail.

The base plate is fixed securely to the timber rafter or suitable roof supporting structure. The extended formed arm passes beneath the curved roof tile and reaches the required rail mounting position above the roof surface.

The aluminum solar rail is then connected to the elongated upper slot using a matching bolt and rail nut.

Multiple hooks are installed along the roof structure to support the solar mounting rails. Photovoltaic modules are then secured to the rails using compatible mid clamps and end clamps.

7. Installation Method

Identify the position of the roof rafter or suitable load-bearing structure.
Carefully lift or remove the curved roof tile at the installation position.
Position the hook base plate on the timber rafter.
Secure the base plate using suitable structural wood screws or lag screws.
Check the hook arm position and ensure sufficient clearance around the curved tile.
Reinstall the roof tile. Minor tile adjustment or notching may be required depending on the actual tile profile.
Position the aluminum solar mounting rail against the upper slotted section of the hook.
Install the matching bolt, washer, and rail nut.
Adjust the rail position and alignment.
Tighten all fastening components according to the mounting system requirements.
Continue installation of the remaining hooks, rails, clamps, and photovoltaic modules.
