1. Product Overview

Compared with hooks designed for high-profile curved tiles, the Flat Tile Roof Hook features a lower-profile mounting structure that allows the hook arm to pass beneath compatible flat roof tiles while providing a secure connection between the roof supporting structure and the aluminum solar mounting rail.

The base plate is securely fixed to the roof rafter or timber supporting structure using suitable wood screws or lag screws. The hook arm extends from beneath the tile, while the upper connection section provides a stable mounting point for the solar rail.

The standard version is manufactured from SUS304 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and long-term durability for outdoor photovoltaic applications. SUS316 stainless steel and Q235 / Q235B hot-dip galvanized carbon steel versions are also available according to customer and project requirements.

The hook structure can be customized according to different tile profiles, rail systems, installation heights, and project specifications.

6.Product Function

The Solar PV Flat Tile Roof Hook provides a structural connection between the roof rafter and the aluminum photovoltaic mounting rail.

The mounting base is securely fixed to the timber rafter or suitable roof supporting structure. The hook arm extends beneath the flat roof tile and reaches the required mounting position above the roof surface.

The aluminum solar rail is then connected to the upper hook section using matching bolts and rail nuts.

Multiple flat tile roof hooks are positioned along the roof structure to support the photovoltaic mounting rails. Solar modules are then secured to the rails using compatible mid clamps and end clamps.

7. Installation Method

Identify the roof rafter or suitable load-bearing timber structure.
Carefully lift or remove the flat roof tile at the installation position.
Position the hook base plate on the roof rafter.
Secure the base plate using suitable structural wood screws or lag screws.
Adjust the hook position according to the tile thickness and rail location.
Reinstall the roof tile and check the clearance around the hook arm.
